A fire’s class can determine how quickly it burns, how dangerous it is, and the best way to suppress or put it out!
The 5 main classes of fires are categorized by what caused the fire or what the fire uses as fuel, and are as follows:
Class A: Ordinary Fires == Solid Burning Material
Solid materials such as wood or paper, fabric, and some plastics

Class B: Flammable Liquids & Gases
Such as alcohol, especially fuels like petroleum or petroleum-based products such as gasoline, paint, and kerosene.
Class C: Electrical Fire
